Meet Our Team
Alex Ockenfels - Chapter Director
Alex is from Kirksville, Missouri and is a graduate of Truman State University where he studied Communication. Alex grew up in KLIFE as a student and volunteered there while in college. He also spent his summers working at Kanakuk Kamps. After graduating, Alex attended the Kanakuk Institute, studying Gods word and being equipped for a lifetime of ministry.
Alex loves professional sports, Pickleball, and a good game of Bananagrams. Alex is stoked to begin his 3rd year at Conway KLIFE. He is excited to build relationships with the students and volunteers, and see how God uses them to further His Kingdom.
Matt McNair - Men’s Director
Matthew is from Conway, Arkansas, and is an online theology and psychology student at Liberty University. Matthew attended Conway KLIFE both as a student and as a volunteer in high school and college. He has spent the last couple of years working in youth ministry and is excited to take this next step as the KLIFE Men’s Director!
Matthew loves Spikeball, Pickleball, Disc Golf, and almost every other sport that exists and doesn’t exist. He is passionate about studying and teaching the word of God, and is always down to hang out with family and friends for a game night. He loves KLIFE and loves discipleship even more, so he’s ready for this next season of life!
Rebecca Janke - Women’s Director
Becca is from Branson, Missouri and attended Ouachita Baptist University, where she studied biology. Throughout high school and college, she spent her summers at Kanakuk Kamps on staff–where she developed a joy for working with kids of all ages, and equipping the next generation through discipleship. After graduating, Becca attended the Kanakuk Institute, where she spent 8 months studying God’s Word, preparing for a lifetime of ministry. Becca is passionate about Biblical literacy, and helping students discover how the whole of Scripture changes the whole of our lives.
Becca’s a mediocre card player, but loves game nights and spending time with family and friends. She is a fan of pour-over coffee, running, veggie straws, and reading (ask her for her recent theology reads!). Becca is excited to continue establishing roots in Conway, and is overjoyed her job is proclaiming the Jesus she so dearly loves.
